VPhase Voltage optimiser

The VPhase voltage optimiser features a scaled-down version of technology that has long been available for larger commercial enterprises. Straightforward to install next to the consumer board, it requires no maintenance and offers immediate results.

Testing by VPhase PLC showed

  • 17% reduction on electricity consumption on fridges and freezers
  • 15% saving on lighting (and even new energy saving light bulbs save 10%)
  • 15% on central heating pumps
  • 41% saving on cordless phone basestation
  • Further savings on most other household devices (excluding electric cooker and immersion heaters)

The VPhase unit was featured on the BBC News Channel Working Lunch program, demonstrated by Simon Gompertz.

Voltage Optimisation has long been recognised by the Carbon Trust as a way for businesses to reduce their electricity consumption, and now householders can benefit from the technology too.

FAQ
Will my lights be dimmer?
The VPhase output voltage is within statutory limits and the range that light bulbs are designed to operate to. A dimmer switch reduces the voltage below the statutory limits and hence reduces the light output. With VPhase consumers are likely to experience a more consistent output from their appliances, rather than the variability that usually occurs, and the appliances will enjoy a longer lifespan.
